Building regulations are minimum standards for design, construction and alterations to virtually make the plans for each type of buildings in Bihar as mentioned in Bihar Building Bylaws 2014. These regulations are developed by the Urban Development and Housing Department, Government of Bihar by the authority of Bihar Governor.

The Chapter III of the Building Bylaws 2014, is being substituted by the Land use classification and Permissible Uses of the Patna Master plan 2031.
